Faculty and Student Mobility Grant

SEARCA is now accepting applications for its Student and Faculty Mobility Grant, offering limited slots to Southeast Asian nationals interested in conducting research or taking courses for credit in selected Southeast Asian universities. Travel must be completed by 30 June 2025.

The Faculty Mobility Grant is for academic staff, and the Student Mobility Grant is for MS or PhD students, both for SEAMEO nationals under 45.

In its 18th year, SEARCA's annual photo contest focuses on "The Future of Farming: Pathways to Carbon-Neutral Agriculture." This would showcase the innovations and solutions to the many issues and problems being faced by an Asian farmer in a sustainable and environment-friendly manner.

AJAD Volume 21 Number 2 (Dec 2024)

The Asian Journal of Agriculture and Development (AJAD) Volume 21 Issue No. 2 presents a diverse collection of studies addressing key agricultural and development challenges in Asia. Topics include global food price dynamics, edible flower conservation, antioxidant-rich pigmented rice, pineapple value chain analysis, rice household productivity in Indonesia, and Philippine hunger surveys.

The International Conference on Micro-credentials and Research for Food Security and Climate Change (ICMCRFSCC) seeks to bring together educators, researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders to exchange insights and practices on how to address these urgent issues.

Consortium for Agricultural Development, Research and Extension (CADRE)

Envisioning itself as becoming a leading enabler and champion of excellence in agricultural and rural development in Southeast Asia, SEARCA will establish the Consortium for Agricultural Development, Research, and Extension in Southeast Asia or CADRE. CADRE, as the word implies, will be a network of high-caliber, like-minded institutions with a unified goal of driving agricultural transformation toward sustainable and inclusive development in Southeast Asia.

In July 2020, SEARCA embarked on its five-year (2020-2025) mission, which focuses on Accelerating Transformation Through Agricultural INnovation (ATTAIN) and aims to deliver BETTER, BIGGER, and SMARTER impacts and outcomes to agricultural and rural development stakeholders across Southeast Asia.
